What does it mean to BE 1!?
To BE 1! means choosing to invest in the lives of scholars in the Kansas City, Missouri School District (KCMSD). It's about recognizing that the gifts we have could really make a difference for our scholars; it's about choosing to share those gifts. While this often takes the form of mentoring or tutoring, it's inclusive of any one-on-one, intentional relationship building between caring individuals and KCMSD scholars.
What is the intended outcome of choosing to BE 1!?
The intention of choosing to BE 1! is the transformation of the KCMSD. This transformation occurs as thousands of people invest in the lives of our scholars. Through widespread community engagement, the perception and the reality of the KCMSD begins to transform.
